  • "I wanted to let you know how much I thank you and your staff (Brian a.k.a Porckchop) for fixing our starter problem on our R.V. and getting us back on our vacation. I thank you guys everytime I turn the key. I am glad the guy's at AutoZone steered me in your direction!"

  • "I want to thank you for your kindness you showed when you stopped your van and came over to me in my car when I had that accident in front of the AMVETS.

Not everyone would be kind to check on a stranger. I told my husband and he was very pleased that you stopped to check me out and follow me home.

Again, thank you. I am all right, but I will never forget what could have happened. An angel was watching over me, I'm sure."

  • "Like a couple of children with a new toy we waited patiently the first time our new "standby" exercised -- marveled at the fact she started rgiht up. So we did the same "wait" the next week - ok we're old - it's the high point of our day.

But lo and behold didn't we have a power outage Sunday Sept 1 at about 7:30pm. And, as we looked at each other for a moment, in that moment "standby" went on. What a marvelous new "toy" and to make a day for us, it was our 40th Wedding Anniversary - What a wonderful present to have - the sound of "standby."

So thank you so much for all you do - the work you, Shane, Ben & John did to install "standby" for us.We do so appreciate you all because we know how much it takes to create a great team. To all of you at Bill's - again - this area is blessed to have you all here."

The business was started in May 1979 by William Spaulding. It was first conducted out of a two-car garage. Bill first worked on cars and light trucks performing tune-ups, brakes, tires and more. Since then, the business has gradually expanded.

Bill and his son, Craig, had a third bay added to the garage. They started working on heavy trucks and construction equipment. Welding and fabrication was also added to the business. Presswork is also available in the shop.

A mobile service unit was purchased for 24 hour road calls. With this unit, they can provide "on the road" service for commercial trucks, welding (steel, cast iron, aluminum, stainless steel) and heavy equipment.

Craig's wife, Brenda, is in charge of all the office aspects of the business. She is also responsible for ordering generator parts.

Eventually, a 4th bay was added to accommodate both the truck and trailer. We provide heavy duty inspections and all types of mechanical repairs including tires. The shop now, has a 5th bay to meet the needs of the business.

Today, Bill's General Repair, Inc. has 7 full time and 2 part time employees.
